Pitt Men's Glee Club

Hello All! We are the Pitt Men's Glee Club and we are the oldest non-athletic group here at the University of Pittsburgh founded in 1890. Known for our barbershop, spiritual, and folk song arrangements, the Pitt Men's Glee Club has been gleeful in the fact that we continue to strive towards spreading our music to the world. This coming Spring of 2025, our group of singers is planning a trip to hopefully bring our sound back to Europe in Austria, Slovenia, and Italy to represent the school with respect and pride. We are a group of singers eager to journey across the Atlantic and we realize that much of the comes with a whole lot of teamwork and elbow grease. The beauty of a European tour is that all of the old cathedrals there have wonderful acoustics specifically meant to highlight choir singing. We want to take advantage of this opportunity and hopefully celebrate our 135th year by making and recording an album of our repertoire this spring.

Recording albums is not cheap, however. Making a donation towards the Pitt Men's
Glee Club during our Pitt Day of Giving Campaign would mean the absolute world to
each and every one of us as we embark on a goal to share our glee with the entire
world and optimistically purchase audio equipment alongside an audio engineer to
master our music. The Pitt Men’s Glee Club hopes to come together with the help of
PDOG and make something that would encapsulate the lasting goal of the club at its
core, to make and share musical excellence. We appreciate all who have come along
with us and those who continue to be sources of support! H2P!
