AMWHO @ Pitt
AMWHO @ Pitt is an
organization dedicated to developing experiences that advance the understanding
of the World Health Assembly and empowering future leaders in global health
policy. Through peer and guest presentations, community outreach and service,
and mock conferences, we strive to build a future where global health policy is
at the forefront of our minds. And, while the future is still a ways off, we
follow our motto: think global, act local by organizing various community
service events throughout the year.
As the new chapter at
Pitt, the money we raise through Pitt Day of Giving would help us fund our
growth and establishment as we find our roots. With these funds, we will be
able to think ambitiously about the kinds of community service and outreach we
can accomplish. We would also be able to fund a trip to the international AMWHO
conference at UNC Chapel Hill, which would help us connect with the other
chapters and further build our community, while participating in a mock World
Health Assembly.
Making a gift to our club
would be essential in allowing AMWHO to take root and truly grow and thrive at
Pitt. We have so many ideas we want to see come to fruition, and we can't do it
without your help!
