Bioethics Bowl Club

The Bioethics Bowl Club is a team of Pitt students that compete in the National Bioethics Bowl, an intercollegiate, academic competition among undergraduate students. This national competition brings teams from colleges and universities around the country to discuss ethical changes related to medicine, public health, technology, and more in a debate-style format. The goal of our club is to not only raise awareness of bioethics among students in the Pitt community but also represent the University of Pittsburgh on a larger scale at the National Bioethics Bowl.

Despite last year being Pitt’s first year competing in the National Bioethics Bowl, we ended up placing among the top 10 teams, an accomplishment we are extremely proud of. With your help, we plan to take the first-place prize this year at the National Bioethics Bowl, and the money raised to supplement travel expenses would be invaluable to our team. Help recognize Pitt at a national level by donating to the Bioethics Bowl Club today!

Because our team is preparing for the national competition in April, which will take place in Salt Lake City, Utah this year, we would be grateful for your support in helping us fund our trip to nationals. The money raised through Pitt Day of Giving would be used for costs such as hotel bookings, flights to and from Salt Lake City, Uber transportation from the airport to the hotel, team dinners, and other necessary expenses. As our team is preparing for the competition, we are actively fundraising to cover the cost of the trip. Although we’ve made a decent amount thus far, we plan to send eight competitors to the national competition, which financially comes at a high cost. Please consider supporting us!
