Chronic Connection
Chronic Connection is an
undergraduate club dedicated to serving the needs of chronically ill and
disabled students. Our organization was founded to fill a perceived void in
spaces where students could build community around their shared experiences.
Our members have found people who get what they’re going through in ways that
most others don’t. These connections have provided support, resources, and an
outlet for those involved.
Any donations we receive
as a result of Pitt Day of Giving 2024 will be used to expand our reach and
impact. The allocated funds will be used to organize more educational events,
guest speaker invitations, peer-support events, and accessibility tools and
supplies - all designed to provide useful information and assistance for our
members. In addition to these efforts, financial contributions to our club will
be utilized to bolster our advocacy efforts, allowing us to work towards a more
inclusive university climate and society overall.
By choosing to
support our club, you will be investing in the lives of our community and
supporting our mission to help promote self-advocacy within the disabled and
chronically ill student body, as well as fostering a more tolerant and
understanding university-community. Your donations will help sponsor
long-lasting changes to the culture at Pitt when it comes to disability
awareness.
