Computational and Systems Biology Fund
The pipeline of new medical breakthroughs begins upstream, with fundamental discoveries. The Department of Computational and Systems Biology (CSB) is harnessing advanced computational methods and systems-level analyses to address fundamental questions in biology and biomedicine. We are dedicated to educating the next generation of multidisciplinary scientists.
Please join us in making an impact today!
Your gift ensures that we have the latest tools and resources to stay at the forefront of research, discovery, and training. This requires advanced computer servers, electronic microscopy with microfluidic devices, robotics for genome and proteome analysis, next-generation sequencing, and cell sorting instruments. Staying at the cutting edge allows us to fuel inspiration and innovation from our students, faculty, staff, and extensive network of collaborators at the University level and beyond. With your support, we will maximize educational and career opportunities for our students.
Your gift to the Department of Computational and Systems Biology—no matter the size—will make a world of difference in advancing innovation and education.
How your gift is used:
Your gift designated to the Computational and Systems Biology General Fund allows the department to put your generous gift to work where it is needed most to address current needs. The general fund supports the recruitment and training of the next generation of scientists, career development initiatives for graduate students, special educational programs, cutting-edge technologies and educational tools, and up-to-date lab equipment. All annual gifts of $1,000 or more receive special acknowledgment in the School of Medicine Annual Report.
Thank you for supporting innovation at the Pitt Computational and Systems Biology Department!
