Give the gift of reading.
The goals of Falk Laboratory School’s library curriculum are to develop students’ love of reading and build their information literacy skills. At the Primary level, Falk librarians read aloud to students and show children where to find books in the library’s collection. Beginning in the Intermediate grades, students develop information literacy skills, learning the layout of the library and how to use search features of the online catalog. In Middle School, librarians work with classroom teachers to support student-led research projects. And at every level, students are encouraged to visit the library and to check out books, fostering a lifelong love of reading.
Why are donations necessary?
Donations support the general collections of Falk Library and ensure that all students have an opportunity to embrace reading.
