About HSLS

The Health Sciences Library System (HSLS) offers a wide array of information services, educational opportunities, and resources in print and electronic format to faculty, students, and researchers in the schools of the health sciences. The HSLS General Fund supports the day-to-day operations of the library, our physical collections, and our vast array of digital resources.

What can your gift do?

Your donation to this fund supports the maintenance and expansion of many of the library’s special collections, including medical humanities, our rotating Leisure Reading Collection, and our celebrated History of Medicine Collection. HSLS is committed to nurturing the intersection of medicine and the humanities. Your generosity bolsters these collections and ensures the preservation and accessibility of our rare books, fostering an understanding of the past that enriches our present and guides our future.

Additionally, by prioritizing support for our clinical collection, we ensure access to vital resources that enhance health sciences education, stimulate innovative research, and facilitate clinical care. Our dedication to assessment allows us to adapt to the changing demands of education, research, and clinical practice, ensuring that our resources remain relevant and impactful.

Your support amplifies our outreach efforts, connecting the library with diverse communities, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that our resources serve as a beacon of knowledge for the health sciences community.
