Korean Student Association
The
Korean Student Association embraces the Korean and Korean American experience
here on campus, celebrating traditional holidays and inviting others to learn
more about Korean culture. From cultural festivals to advocacy workshops, we
strive to create a safe environment for all who are interested in being a part
of the KSA community. One of our most important missions as an organization is
to educate and spread the word about important topics within our community.
Recent examples include the problematic nature of colorism and Asian hate. We
also strive to help other communities by donating money to essential
organizations and spreading resources during the BLM movements, such as Color
of Change.
With the privilege to be a part of Pitt Day of Giving, we will strive to continue raising awareness, whether it is donating money to many more substantial organizations, building more advocacy workshops, or continuing to spread Korean culture here at Pitt. It's important to us as a community to allocate all our resources to create events and fundraisers to grow our community and continue those difficult conversations that will help us go in the right direction as a generation.
