Nurse Anesthesia Ultrasound Education Fund
Ultrasound has increasingly becoming an important tool for Nurse Anesthesia (NA) professionals because of its ability to provide more accurate diagnosis, improve patient outcomes and safety, and reduce costs. In fact, current Council on Accreditation standards require ultrasound content within Nurse Anesthesia Program curricula.
Proficiency in ultrasound techniques is a necessary skill for our students to have as they enter the workforce and for our alumni to pursue through continuing education. Pitt's Nurse Anesthesia program was ahead of the curve in providing ultrasound education as part of the NA curriculum, but the vision of Program Director John O'Donnell is that Pitt's NA program will become a center of ultrasound excellence for both student education and CRNA CE training with a focus on US guided blocks, line placements and point of care examination or POCUS.
You can make this vision a reality by supporting the Nurse Anesthesia Ultrasound Education Fund today!
