About Our Program: Panthers Forward is a relatively new program at Pitt, and our mission is a simple one--addressing the student debt crisis for Pitt students. The program combines loan repayment assistance with mentorship and exclusive programming to help Pitt students as they prepare for life after college.
Panthers Forward Pitt Day of Giving Graduate Challenge: This PDoG, if 100 Panthers Forward graduates make a gift (to any area) on Pitt Day of Giving, $8,500 will be given to the area at Pitt supported most by our graduates.
Panthers Forward Student Diploma Frame Challenge: For each gift made on PDoG using a current Panthers Forward student’s personal donation link/URL, that student will be entered to win a diploma frame! For instance, 6 donations will give the student 6 entries to win!
Why Should You Support Panthers Forward? Our students are 150 seniors on the University of Pittsburgh campus who took out federal loans to make their senior year possible. Upon graduation, participants receive up to $5,000 in loan forgiveness from the program to help give them a leg up as they enter life after Pitt. In addition to debt relief, participants can opt in to be paired with recent graduates and experienced alumni mentors who offer field-specific guidance, professional networking opportunities, and real-life advice. Participants also have access to a wide variety of programming ranging from financial wellness, networking and philanthropic education, as well as access to an exclusive virtual community.
