Since 1895, the University of Pittsburgh School of Law has been preparing students to become excellent attorneys and leaders in the legal profession and society. List of Funds:

  1. School of Law (Unrestricted Support): To support general Law School programming and school-based initiatives at the discretion of the Dean.

  2. Edwin H. Beachler III Clinical Legal Education Fund: Named for Edwin H. Beachler III (JD ’65), this fund helps provide financial assistance and guidance to students involved with Pitt Law’s seven in-house legal clinics.

  3. Scholarship Fund in Law: To support funding for Pitt Law’s scholarships and financial aid support. Over 75% of our incoming Class of 2022 students received scholarships.

  4. Law School Public Interest Support: To support law students summer fellowships for those interested in giving back to their communities through a career in Public Interest.

  5. Brian Cuban Law Student Wellness Fund: Named after Brian Cuban (JD ’86), the Brian Cuban Law Student Wellness Fund supports the advancement of students’ mental and physical health during law school and prepares them for wellness in the legal profession.

  6. Center for Civil Rights and Racial Justice: Established in early 2022, the Center is dedicated to facilitating community-engaged teaching, research, and service. It serves as a dynamic intellectual hub for collaboration among students, faculty, and community members on civil rights and racial justice projects.  

  7. Roslyn M. Litman Chair in Civil Liberties: To support the recruitment, professional development, and scholarly activities of a faculty chair and to support research and other key academic initiatives of the School of Law.
