Pitt Muslim Alumni Network - Farrukh H. Ali Scholarship Fund

The University of Pittsburgh Muslim Alumni Network creates a lifelong and worldwide community of alumni through networking, mentorship, community service, educational, and philanthropic opportunities. Events and activities foster a sense of inclusivity and a celebration of the Islamic faith while supporting a connection to the University of Pittsburgh.

The Muslim Alumni Network annually awards a $2,000 scholarship in honor of Farrukh H. Ali (Katz'79 and Eng'82), a Pitt graduate who exemplified a passion for knowledge, education, and faith. This scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate upperclassman, preferably a Muslim, with a 3.25 GPA. The scholarship will go directly towards their tuition.

Mr. Ali strongly emphasized the importance of education and his Pakistani Islamic roots to his family, friends, and community. He became a pillar of his local Pakistani community and maintained his love of learning throughout his life. By donating to this scholarship, you are helping to reduce the financial burden of attending Pitt and supporting students in finding their passion.
