Racquetball Club at Pitt
The Racquetball Club at
Pitt prides itself in being the most accessible competitive club sport on the
campus of the University of Pittsburgh. Our organization is co-ed, open to all
skill levels, located on-campus, and offers all necessary equipment to our
members. We take our dedication to racquetball seriously as we look to develop
our members’ skills, allowing them to compete at both regional and national
levels. Recently, our sights have been set on fielding a strong team for the
2024 USA Racquetball National Intercollegiate Championships, the pinnacle
racquetball competition for college students.
We served up a strong
showing at last year’s national tournament in Ohio, placing 9th in the nation
as a team. This outcome was largely due to our diverse array of both male and
female participants, allowing us to outscore opponents across the board. With
this year’s tournament taking place in Tempe, Arizona, travel costs are
projected to far exceed what our club’s current budget is able to cover.
Through fundraising and donations, we aim to minimize the personal costs to
each of our members, for it would hinder our tournament performance if our
attendance was limited due to financial reasons.
As we look to
expand our opportunities for our hard-working and hard-playing members, we
thank each and every donor who chooses to support us. Please feel assured that
any gift will give a better chance for another student-athlete to show the
country what they are able to do, in addition to what they have learned as a
member of our club. Thank you to everyone involved in the 2024 Pitt Day of
Giving, and Hail to Pitt!
