Swanson School of Engineering Scholarship Support
The Engineering Scholarship Fund provides support to dozens of Swanson School students every year. By easing their financial burden, these scholarships ensure that we're setting up the next generation of Pitt Engineers for success!
In the words of our scholars:
“Being an out-of-state student, I was worried that I might need to transfer due to finances. When I read the email saying I’d been awarded an additional scholarship that would help cover the gap, I knew I could stay at Pitt. And I wouldn’t need to saddle myself with more student loans or limit how I could get involved on campus. I’m so grateful for that support and everything it’s allowing me to accomplish here.”

“There’s
so much I’ve been able to explore and do because of the opportunities I’ve been
given in the Swanson School. Financial aid meant that I could attend Pitt in
the first place. And scholarships have made it possible for me to focus on
my path and future. I’ve had the chance to conduct research with faculty on
chemical recycling of polymers, study engineering and art in Italy, and
complete a year-long internship at Johnson & Johnson. My education has been
amazing.”

"Thank you very much to the donors who made my award
possible! This award makes it easier to enjoy my time here at Pitt. I can be
less stressed about my expenses and instead focus on studying things that
interest me to earn my degree and working towards my future goals." - Anna, 2022
"This award has helped me attend college with a sense of
financial security in a time when everything else is very uncertain. I always
knew I loved learning and wanted to go to college, and financial aid and scholarships
has helped make that dream come true. Support from scholarships means I can
afford college without having to worry about getting a job, or taking out a lot
of loans, and instead I can focus on my academics and passion for research. I
can’t thank the donor enough for contributing to my time at Pitt, and sincerely
appreciate the financial assistance and freedom it has granted me." - Stacia, 2022
