Pitt EXCEL Program:
The Pitt EXCEL Program is a comprehensive undergraduate diversity program committed to the retention, development, and graduation of diverse engineering scholars. Pitt EXCEL scholars strive to advance in the areas of scholarship, professionalism, graduate endeavors, and community engagement. In addition, Pitt EXCEL scholars have access to academic counseling, peer mentoring for first year and upperclassmen scholars, year specific seminars, tutoring, engineering research, graduate school preparation and career development workshops. Lastly, first year Pitt EXCEL scholars are eligible to participate in our two-week intensive study skills, math and science summer bridge program.
The vision of the Pitt EXCEL Program:
1. Achieve 100% placement in each Pitt EXCEL scholar's desired engineering field of pursuit, inclusive of graduate school, industry, and medical school.
2. Establishing lifelong connections with fellow undergraduate students, staff, faculty, alumni, and industry relations.
3. Producing the highest achieving scholars that rank in the top 20% in all engineering disciplines within the Swanson School of Engineering.
Your donations last year helped with the National Society of Black Engineers, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and Scholar Academic needs. Your donations are important and imperative for Pitt EXCEL to be SUSTAINED and GROW. Thank you for your investment and planting seeds that are growing.
