The Pitt Fund impacts all aspects of student life at the University of Pittsburgh by immediately addressing the areas of highest need. Your donation to The Pitt Fund allows the Chancellor and senior leadership to respond strategically to opportunities and challenges as they arise.
Why should you give to the Pitt Fund?
Unlike restricted funds (gifts allocated to one particular program or scholarship), a gift to The Pitt Fund allows the university to quickly react to opportunities and needs in real time. The cost of a Pitt education is far greater than the tuition and fees charged. The remainder of the cost is borne by gifts, grants, and state support. The education of all alumni was directly supported by gifts from the alumni who came before them--even if full tuition was paid--and today's alumni have the opportunity to do the same for the next generation. Participation at any level will preserve the tradition.

The Pitt Fund supports pioneering research, the financial needs of talented students, enhanced student experience, and seed money to launch new campus projects and academic endeavors.
