Women's Club Volleyball at Pitt

The Women’s Volleyball Club at Pitt is a competitive club sports team that travels across the country competing in tournaments against various schools. Our club consists of students with varying majors and educational goals who share a love and passion for the sport of volleyball. Our organization focuses on not only being a competitive sports club but also on improving intangible skills, such as communication, work ethic, and teamwork. The goal of our team is to meet new people and create lifelong friendships through the team while doing something we love. Recently, we have competed in tournaments at IUP and Penn State University! This semester we will be traveling to American University and Kent State, then finishing our season off with Nationals in Phoenix, Arizona.

As a fully student-run club, we rely on player dues and fundraisers, like Pitt Day of Giving, to cover our expenses such as tournament entry fees, jerseys, and travel accommodations like lodging and transportation. We want to bring our entire team to every event, but as those expenses increase, there is a greater need for financial support from outside sources. This year the NCVF National Tournament in Phoenix, Arizona is where the largest portion of our funds is going to send both teams, who are so well-deserving of this opportunity.

The National Tournament is very special to our team as it gives every player, who has put in so much time and effort to the team, to be able to have the rewards of attending the tournament. This is the end goal for each of our players, and something we’ve been striving towards all season. Any donation towards our club will ensure teams this year and the next few seasons can have the opportunities that they work towards! We are greatly appreciative of any donation and all the support that is given to us!

Thank you, and Go Pitt!
