Pitt Day of Giving is here again!

This year at the School of Computing and Information, we’re focusing on increasing the number of donors to SCI funds – just like Pitt’s Day of Giving! More donors like you means more support to our funds, and more awareness of SCI!

Last year SCI had 268 individual donors, but with your support, we’re aiming for 300 donors! To incentivize new donors, we’ve created a “Cathy” thermometer that will light up more floors and a fun fact about SCI for every 25 new donors we receive during Pitt Day of Giving.

We also have a Donor Unlocking Challenge!

  • 100 donors to SCI unlocks a $500 donation from an anonymous alumni donor
  • 150 donors to SCI unlocks a $1,000 donation from the Dean of SCI, Bruce Childers
  • 200 donors to SCI unlocks a $1,500 donation from the Alumni Board
  • 300 donors (our 2025 goal!) to SCI unlocks a $2,500 donation from the Board of Visitors

And finally, a Department Challenge!

Once PDoG is complete, the SCI department with the highest number of donors will unlock an additional $5,000 gift from the Dean's Office to their department.

The Dean’s Impact Priorities

Today, you can magnify the value of your gift by fueling the spark for someone else and stoking the flames that illuminate the endless possibilities of what we can do. These priority funds provide ongoing resources for the most impactful SCI student and school programmatic needs.
